Nanomaterials are safe
In a study published in May 2020, the European Chemical Agency (ECHA) evaluated all the studies on the penetration of nanomaterials through the skin. The data suggests that there is little to no penetration of nanomaterial through intact skin, except for silver ion. As such, the public can be assured of the safety of the use of nanomaterials in cosmetics, especially nano sun filters.
